All RCMS students will receive their FCPS-provided laptop during the first week of school. 

The following is a basic school supplies list for 7^th and 8^th grade students:

• One pack of pencils
• One pack of blue or black ink pens
• A ruler with English and metric measurements
• One pack of colored pencils or magic markers
• One-two spiral notebooks
• One box of facial tissue
• One pack of lined, loose leaf paper
• Graph paper
• One pair of earbuds 
• One binder with dividers (to organize any items that you may decide to print)
• Small dry erase board (*optional, but helpful in interactive class settings)
• Dry erase markers (*optional, but helpful)

Calculators:  Students in all math courses will access the online Desmos.com calculator throughout the school year.  This online calculator meets the needs for all math courses offered at RCMS.  For students taking Algebra I, Geometry, or Algebra II, the purchase of a handheld calculator is strictly optional.   The recommended model is the Texas Instruments TI-84+ graphing calculator.

Geometry Honors: Students will need a compass and protractor. 

Individual teachers may have additional supply requirements.
Each teacher will share their supply requirements at the beginning of the school year.  

Certain elective courses do have fees for consumable items.  We will send information at a later date with more information about these fees and arrangements for pick-up of these items.
