National Science Bowl

National Science Bowl- Students who are interested in participating in the National Science Bowl must first organize a team of four or five RCMS students and one parent volunteer/coach.  All teams must complete the Google registration for Science Bowl no later than 3:00 PM on Friday, 10/1, with the following information:

This is a firm deadline; emails received after 3:00 PM on Friday, 10/1, will not be accepted and those students will not be able to take the test.  

The tryout will be held in the cafeteria during A block (2:23-3:23) on Thursday 10/07 for students onlyStudents will test as a team and all team members must be present or the team will not be able to take the test.  NO electronic devices are permitted when testing.

Students must find their own team and coach, we will not place individual students on teams or find a coach for a team.

 

Regional Registration

Registration for the 2022 regional competitions will open October 1st at 12pm EST.

To register your team, be sure to first locate the regional that is designated for your school.

Please note: Registrations are based on the location of your school. Please be sure to select the regional that is designated for your school’s state, county, city, or district.

Unless stated otherwise on your regional page, teams will be approved as follows:

1) If a regional competition allows only one team per school, teams will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis determined by the date/time stamp when their registrations were submitted.

2) If a regional competition allows two teams per school, teams will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis determined by the date/time stamp when their registrations were submitted, with first registered teams taking precedence over second registered teams, with the goal of as many different schools participating as possible.

  • Eligible first registered teams will be approved to participate as soon as possible after registration.
  • Beginning 5 weeks prior to the event and space permitting, second registered teams will be approved to participate.

3) If a regional competition allows three teams per school, teams will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis determined by the date/time stamp when their registrations were submitted, with first registered teams taking precedence over second registered teams, and second registered teams taking precedence over third registered teams, with the goal of as many different schools participating as possible.

  • Eligible first registered teams will be approved to participate as soon as possible after registration.
  • Beginning 5 weeks prior to the event and space permitting, second registered teams will be approved to participate.
  • Beginning 3 weeks prior to the event and space permitting, third registered teams will be approved to participate.
