Join in the Battle of the Books

BOB

Battle of Books at RCMS

Do you love reading?  Do you want to participate in a club that encourages friendly competition, but mostly encourages a love of great books?  Come to our Battle of the Books interest meeting, in the library in January

Who is running it?

RCMS sponsors are Ms. Donovan (library) & Ms. Crutcher (trailer 3 & 4)

How does it work?

After committing to be on a team for Battle of the Books (see directions below), students are put on a team.  At the commitment & planning meeting, students find out their team and create a plan to divvy up the books that need to be read.  Students read books on their own and take notes to help them remember plot, characters, & key events.  The Battle of the Books will run like the game show Family Feud, in which students’ teams earn points by answering questions about the books.  The team with the most points “wins” the battle, but all participants have fun!

What are the meeting dates?

To be announced

Because they are part of a team, students MUST make attending the meetings a priority.
