We The People

The We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution Program is a state and nationally recognized competitive club that addresses issues surrounding components of the U.S. Constitution. There will be 6 units that present a 4-minute response to a pre-designated question based on units of the "We the People" textbook followed by 4-6 minute questions by the judges. Topics of the units range from the philosophical foundations of our American government, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitutional convention, political parties, the First Amendment, and the United States relationship to the rest of the world. This club is open to both 7th & 8th graders and a tryout may be needed based on student interest.
