What is NJHS?
Established in 1929, the National Junior Honor Society is the nation’s premier recognition program for middle school students. The NJHS represents those individuals who have distinguished themselves as outstanding in their schools and community.
Eligible 7th grade students will receive an invitation to apply in the spring after the end of the 3rd Quarter.
For current 8th grade members, all 10 Service Hours must be verified in x2VOL no later than 2:15 pm on Friday, May 8th.
To be a member of NJHS students must:
1. Maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA
2. Complete a minimum of 10 service hours, maximum 15, at an FCPS school for an FCPS sponsored event.
3. Uphold the qualities of SCHOLARSHIP, LEADERSHIP, CHARACTER, CITIZENSHIP and Service

Sponsors and liaisons will answer questions for you and help solve any problems you may have. JUST LET US KNOW! Liaisons will approve service hours, announce dates and meetings, and provide additional forms and information throughout the school year.
