Schedule Adjustment for the Weeks of March 1 and March 8.
The weeks of March 1st and March 8th: These are our first two weeks of our in-person student return. We are providing a student orientation for each in-person student group on the date of their first day in the building. This will occur through the Panther Time Connections class. In order for this to be the first experience that a student has as they enter the building, we are adjusting the order of our class periods for these two weeks. Please note that the day of the week and timing for 1st period and 4th period have been swapped during these two weeks.
Carson's New Bell Schedule Starting February 16, 2021
The RCMS Concurrent Virtual/In-Person Bell Schedule will begin on February 16. Details can be found by clicking here.
We need Photos for the Yearbook!
The yearbook staff is working behind the scenes in the hopes that we will be able to produce a Rachel Carson Yearbook this year. Because a yearbook is dependent upon pictures, we are asking for YOUR help. Please consider submitting photos to help us work towards our goal! Follow the directions below to send in your photos. This week we are asking for submissions of summer photos, back to school photos, classroom at home photos, and selfies of students in their favorite masks! Click here to see how to submit your photo.
Return to School
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is partnering with families to ensure we keep students and staff safe and healthy as we return to school buildings for learning. Working together, we will follow recommended health guidance that focuses on student health, safety, and emotional well-being.
Parent Technology Help Desk
To support families who are working with their children during distance learning, Fairfax County Public Schools now has a Parent Technology Help Desk. The number is 1-833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS). It will be answered by staff 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. If the help desk is unable to solve the issue on the phone with the parent or guardian, they will enter a ticket on the parent’s behalf and the request for help will be transferred to the appropriate FCPS team.
Report safety issues online or by text message using the Safety Tipline. You may choose to identify yourself or remain anonymous.
