End of Year SMARTR Outcome
By the end of the 2020-2021 school year all students will be able to identify one caring person at Carson.
Strategy 1
- Building Connectivity through student recognition

- Provide non-curricular experiences to support engagement and relationship building (SCA, etc)
End of Year SMARTR Outcome
By June 2021, all students receiving tier 2 & 3 instruction will demonstrate growth by their reading and/or math by one performance level.
Strategy 1
- Identify students requiring reading/ literacy and math support.
Strategy 2
- All teachers will be knowledgeable of students’ reading performance levels and understand best practices for improving basic and intermediate literacy notwithstanding disciplinary literacy.
Strategy 3
- Implement specific strategies for students with learning gaps as noted by VDOE accreditation indicators.
End of Year SMARTR Outcome
By June 2021, students identified as Young Scholars including students identified by the end of the 1st quarter, will enroll and experience success as defined by earning a grade of C or higher in one or more Honors classes (mathematics, English, social studies and science).
