Welcome to Panther’s Athletics! We are very excited to offer inter-scholastic Fall Cross Country and Spring Track & Field competition for our middle-school students.

Students and parents will need to complete several steps prior to participating in middle school sports:
 

If the Student DID NOT compete in Fall 2024 Cross Country:

• STEP 1: Complete the MS Sports Participant Registration form (registration opens in the Spring, TBD), which also requires parents and athletes to review the FCPS Student-Athlete Athletic Health Education Program. 
• STEP 2: A fully completed and signed FCPS Middle School Sports Athletic Participation/Parental Consent/Physical Examination Form (PPE). The exam must be completed by a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant. Please note that the medical exam and all forms must be dated on or after May 1, 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year.
• STEP 3: The 2-sided Emergency Care Card must be filled, signed, and attached to the completed packet in Step 2. 
• STEP 4: Student-athletes in FCPS are required to be covered by medical insurance.  If your student is not covered by another plan, here is an option to consider.
   
• All of the above must be completed and submitted before athletes are eligible to practice or compete. 
   

If the Student DID compete in Fall 2024 Cross Country:

• STEP 2: A fully completed and signed Parental Consent/Emergency Care form. (a new physical is not required if one is on file from Fall '24 CC, but these forms do need to be completed for Track & Field '25 season.
• STEP 3: The 2-sided Emergency Care Card must be filled, signed, and attached to the completed packet in Step 2. 
• STEP 4: Student-athletes in FCPS are required to be covered by medical insurance.  If your student is not covered by another plan, here is an option to consider.
   
• All of the above must be completed and submitted before athletes are eligible to practice or compete. 

Even if a student participated last year, all new forms are required for the 2024-2025 season.
