Ms. Rachel Copeland

Hi! I am Rachel Copeland. I am very excited to enter my 2nd year here at Carson. I am also a private therapist and have my own private practice where I see clients of all ages for counseling. Before joining the counseling team here, I worked in the Department of Family Services with Fairfax County Government in professional development, providing training to the County’s social workers. My strengths are being a helper to people of all ages, supporting growth, being solution-focused, and having great positive energy. I have a degree in Sociology from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in school counseling from Liberty University. I have been married for 26 years. Fun fact: my husband and I went to the same elementary school, middle school and high school! I have 4 amazing children, plus one very cute Yorkie puppy. My oldest son is 30 and lives in California, my oldest daughter is a teacher, my youngest daughter is in college, and my “baby” son is in his senior year at South Lakes High School. My favorite things are elephants, puzzles, lots of TV shows and movies, and keeping up with social media accounts. I am very excited to be at Carson!
