Hi! My name is Rachel Copeland. I am thrilled to be entering my 3rd year here at Carson Middle School. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know all Carson students through connection, relationship-building, and support. I enjoy middle school because of the opportunities to support growth, be solution-focused, and soak up all the positive energy. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Virginia and a Master’s in Education in School Counseling from Liberty University. I have been married for 27 years. I am also a private therapist and have my own private practice where I provide therapy to people all ages. My favorite things are my family, elephants, puzzles, reading, lots of TV shows and movies, and keeping up with social media accounts. Fun fact: my husband and I went to the same elementary school, middle school and high school! I have 4 amazing children, plus one very cute Yorkie puppy. My oldest son lives in California, my oldest daughter lives in NoVA and is a teacher, my youngest daughter is in her last year of college and plays college basketball, and my youngest son is in his first year of college and playing football. I am very excited to meet all our wonderful 7^th grade students and to welcome back our fabulous 8^th grade students this year.
